  • Many medical conditions are improved by special diets such as low cholesterol, low sodium, high protein, or diabetic diets.
  • Many seniors may be on more than one kind of special diet.
  • Seniors may have trouble following their special diet because of lack of education regarding the diet, or difficulty changing life-long eating habits.
 WHAT TO DO 
  • Participate in education programs.
  • Go to healthy meal programs.
 WHERE TO GO 
  • Contact your local Area Agency on Aging.
