 FAST FACTS 
  • Head injuries account for the majority of the injuries sustained from window falls.
  • Falls from a first floor window can kill a child.
  • Many window sills are 24 inches off the floor. The average one year old child is 30 inches tall.
  • Children can break through the glass window and fall.
  • Window screens give a false sense of security because screens do not prevent or protect a child from a fall.
